Gastro Health, a national leading medical group specializing in digestive and liver health, has finalized a partnership with Gastroenterology and Nutrition Specialists in Central Florida. This marks Gastro Health's seventh partnership in that region.

Gastroenterology and Nutrition Specialists is joining with one board-certified gastroenterologist, M. Asif Mohiuddin, MD, and one advanced practice provider (APP). Having completed fellowships in both clinical nutrition and gastroenterology, Dr. Mohiuddin addresses a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders. He performs various general GI procedures, including colonoscopy, hemorrhoid banding, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, and more. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Mohiuddin is actively involved in gastroenterological research, particularly focusing on GERD.

This most recent acquisition by Gastro Health is part of a continued national growth and expansion period in the single-specialty gastroenterology sector over the last several years. Gastro Health has a presence in seven states – Florida, Alabama, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Massachusetts – with over 400 physicians and 150 locations consisting of medical offices, infusion centers, imaging services, and a specialty pharmacy. Additionally, Gastro Health owns and operates endoscopy centers in five of the seven states and operates pathology and anesthesia services.
